Better fuel economy and less emissions are the development trend of future vehicles. As a green technology, variable oil pumps are increasingly being used by leading OEMs. The output (flow rate and oil pressure) of conventional oil pumps, the non-regulated oil pumps, are related to engine speed. There is no active mechanism to adjust the oil flow rate and pressure. Jebsen TCG's regulated oil pumps are designed with a variable volume and two-step pressure control, achieved by changing the horizontal position of the gear and pressure control valve respectively. With this active control mechanism, oil pressure is optimised to match the engine's working conditions. At the same time, this adjustable working mechanism consumes less power than its non-regulated counterparts, which eventually helps to save fuel and reduce emissions.
